Versatic 10 is used as the acid or as its ester, acid chloride or metal salt derivative. Depending on its form it can be applied as an extracting agent or corrosion inhibitor, or can be found in catalysts, adhesives, driers, stabilisers, preservatives.

PROPERTIES

Versatic 10 is a water-like, clear liquid with a strong odor. Versatic acid 10 based products show typically excellent hydrolytic stability and resistance to various chemical agents.

APPLICATIONS

ACID FORM

The acid is a very effective metal extraction agent, particularly suitable for nickel.

It can also be used as a corrosion inhibitor in semi-synthetic and synthetic metal working fluids.

ACID CHLORIDE

It is used as intermediate in the production of peroxides for polymer production.

METAL SALT DERIVATIVES

Metal salts such as cobalt, copper or zinc salts of Versatic 10 can be found in tyre adhesives, paint driers, PVC heat stabilisers, chemical processing catalysts, polyester cure catalysts, wood preservatives and fuel additives.
