Maleic anhydride is mainly used in the production of significant chemicals, such as unsaturated polyester resins, 1,4-butanediol, fumaric acid, lubricating oil additives. The chemicals let MA be an useful intermediate in food, oil or polymer industry. MA has applications in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, household products.
Malonic acid and its esters are characterized by the large number of condensation products. They are important intermediates in syntheses of vitamins B1 and B6, barbiturates, NSAIDs, agrochemicals, flavors and fragrances compounds. MA can be used as an electrolyte additive for anodization of aluminum or as an additive in adhesive compositions.
Methanosulfonic acid is an effective catalyst for esterification, alkylation and condensation reactions. It is an useful chemical in polymer and electronic industry. 99% MSA is mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry to manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients, while 70% MSA is used in electronic indusrties.
Monochloroacetic acid is used in the manufacture of many other important organic chemicals e.g. carboxymethyl cellulose, ibuprofen, caffeine, glycine, EDTA or glycolic acid. The big number of its useful derivatives make MCA a compound which is having a wide range of applications in the fields of drugs, cosmetics, dyes, pesticides.
N-Acetylglicine is a chemical building block for many compounds such as glycine, aspartame and other amino acids. It is widely used in peptidomimetics and drug research. Its methyl ester can replace menthol in oral care products and its salts are able to elicit umami taste in food products.
